Kate epitomizes foundation mare. Her conformation is the living demonstration of the word "balance" and there is not a more correct Morgan topline in the breed. Classic Morgan quality with a dainty muzzle, wideset eyes, tiny tippy ears and a naturally clean throatlatch. A mare as correct as this is a stallion owner's dream and indeed every one of Kate's offspring have proven to be talented and beautiful. Some of Kate's produce include Hartland Legendary, a many times champion carriage competitor here and in Canada;

Hartland Best of All, with 70+ titles in top competition in Western, hunter, & equitation; Hartland Absalute, imported to the Netherlands in the first shipment of Morgans to that country; and Hartland Intrepid, a successful competitor in Hunter Pleasure and Dressage. Katie's last son, Hartland Most Likely, born when she was 25 years old, looks to be one of her very best.
